Though Kyanite is  usually blue, it  also can be colorless, white, gray, green or yellow. Color is often not consistent throughout the crystal. Kyaniteis often medium blue with white streaks.    The blue colorless  Kyanite gemstones are quite a rarity in the market today.

The Luster of Kyanite gem stone is bright to almost pearly.

Kyanite deposits are found in Austria, Brazil, India, Kenya, Myanmar, Serbia, Switzerland, United States and Zimbabwe.
